Don't struggle in silence. You can live well with a mental health condition, as long as you open up to somebody about it

Our Story

Why C2T Was Created To Help You

Connect 2 Thrive Therapeutic Hub was born out of a passionate commitment to filling a crucial gap in the mental health services for children, adolescences and families.

Our founder, Sarah Martin, has spent many years supporting children, adolescence and families who have been exposed to adverse childhood experiences. By witnessing the profound impact of trauma first hand, Sarah recognised the need for specialised trauma-informed care, that prioritises the unique needs and service interventions.

Driven by a deep sense of empathy and a dedication to making a difference, Sarah set out to create a haven where individuals and families could access the support and resources they need to restore felt sense of safety and thrive in the aftermath of trauma.

Through years of experience working in the field with vulnerable populations, Sarah saw the transformative power of providing compassionate, evidence-based interventions tailored to the developmental needs of each client.

Connect 2 Thrive Therapeutic Hub was founded on the belief that healing is possible, even in the face of profound adversity. Our team is committed to creating a welcoming, inclusive space where individuals and families feel heard, understood, and empowered on their journey toward healing and resilience.

By combining expertise, empathy, and a deep commitment to collaboration, Connect 2 Thrive Therapeutic Hub strives to be a beacon of hope for those navigating the complex terrain of trauma recovery. We believe that every individual has the capacity to heal and thrive, and we are honoured to walk alongside our clients as they embark on their path toward healing, growth, and resilience.

Connect 2 Thrive focus on Early Intervention:

Early intervention for children is essential for promoting healthy development, preventing long-term challenges, and supporting the well-being of children and families. By identifying and addressing issues early, we can help children build a strong foundation for success and resilience throughout their lives.

Early identification for children is crucial for several reasons, including:

- Prevention to reduce long-term effects: When difficulties are addressed early, this can prevent further escalation and serious problems later in life. Childhood is a critical period of develop and unresolved issues during this time can have lasting effects on a child's mental health and social well-being.

- Promoting healthy development: May developmental and behavioural issues impact a child's ability to learn and thrive in educational settings. Early intervention can identify and address these challenges, allowing children to reach their full learning potential and participate more fully in academic and social

activities.

- Maximising Learning Potential: Many developmental and behavioural issues can impact a child's ability to learn and thrive in educational settings. Early intervention can identify and address these challenges, allowing children to reach their full learning potential and participate more fully in academic and social activities.

- Reducing Impact of Adverse Experiences: Children who experience trauma or adverse life events are at risk for a range of negative outcomes, including mental health issues, academic struggles, and relationship difficulties. Early intervention can provide support and resources to help children process and cope with these experiences, mitigating their impact on long-term well-being.

- Supporting Families: Early intervention programs often involve families and caregivers in the therapeutic process, providing them with education, guidance, and support. By strengthening family relationships and communication, early intervention can create a supportive environment that fosters children's healthy development and resilience.

- Promoting Equity: Early intervention programs play a crucial role in promoting equity and reducing disparities in access to resources and support services. By providing timely and culturally responsive interventions, we can help ensure that all children have the opportunity to thrive, regardless of their background or circumstances.
